Strawberry Lassi

Good morning everyone,

My son hates these.  Hates them.  He cannot stomach yogourt.  That’s okay, I remember that when I was his age I would have walked barefoot across the Atlantic to avoid yogourt.  His taste buds will change.

For the rest of us though, yogourt based smoothies (lassi) are a wonderful way to cool down in hot temperatures, a good way to get in that calcium, and a wonderful tasting alternative to ice cream based milkshakes.

For me, this one tastes a lot like a strawberry milkshake.  You be the judge though!

Strawberry Lassi

1 cup roughly cut up strawberries, rinsed and stems removed
1 cup full-fat, unsweetened, natural yogourt (you can use low-fat as well)
1 tablespoon honey
3 – 4 tablespoons milk (less for a thicker lassi)

Place all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth.

So easy right?
