Good morning everyone,
Tonight, we’re having some stir fry. This very simple stir fry sauce goes well with any vegetable stir fry. It has reduced sodium from using reduced sodium soy sauce and by using a light vegetable broth that has not been salted.
Even reduced sodium soy sauce is still high in sodium. If you’re concerned about the sodium in this dish, you can reduce the amount of soy sauce that you use – add a little more vegetable stock and a little lime juice to make up for the liquid soy sauce you are removing.
Feel free to experiment with the sauce, adding more ginger or garlic, if you like, or switching out the honey for a different sweetener. It is very flexible.
Simple Stir Fry Sauce
1/2 cup light vegetable broth
1/2 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste (or 1 – 1 1/2″ ginger minced plus 3 garlic cloves minced)
Place all of the ingredients into a jar and close the lid tight. Shake until the cornstarch is incorporated. This sauce will keep in your refrigerator for up to a week and makes enough sauce for stir fry for 5 to 6 people.
That’s it. Easy!
Until next time,
Peace and love,
